Here are the reports, submitted by the club...

Easttbourne Rangers 6-1 Rotherfield

The Rangers first team put in an outstanding performance on the sports park 3G in the early kick-off against Rotherfield. The early exchanges saw the away keeper called into action several times, but he could do nothing about the Rangers opening goal when Phil Broom cut inside and rifled the ball home.

This lead was very shortlived though, as a speculative Rotherfield effort somehow found its way into the Rangers net. A moment of magic from keeper Louis Peach then set Rangers on their way for their second goal of the afternoon. Peach picked up the ball on the edge of his area, and sold the away striker down the river. Peach followed this up with a superb line-breaking pass in the feet of Paul Weatherby.

“Woody” outpaced the full back on the left and delivered a pinpoint cross into Broom, who doubled his and Rangers' tally for the day. Before the break, Broom was able to complete his first half hat-trick after a sublime piece of play by Cam Apted, with Broom firing home on 42 minutes from Apted’s neat slide pass.

Rangers rang the changes at the break with rotation in mind, but this did not affect their play. Broom was again on the scoresheet in the 64th minute after capitalising on some confusion in the Rotherfield box. Substitute Josh Bryant got in on the act, scoring his first goal for the club, after some sublime and unselfish play from Matty Astle on the Rangers left. And with four minutes to go, Broom was unceremoniously upended in the box, with Apted coolly slotting away the resulting penalty for 6-1.

There were some outstanding performances throughout, with Weatherby, Astle, Peach and Pat Dallaway exceptional. But the Rodmill Post Office MOM was awarded to Phil Broom.

Eastbourne Rangers Res 5-2 Ringmer Res

In the later kick-off, Rangers Reserves secured a valuable three points against Ringmer Reserves. Skipper Kyle Daines opened the scoring midway through the first half after volleying home from the edge of the box, while moments later, Josh Kyte put one on a plate for opposite winger Glen Noble. Kyte got in on the act himself with two goals of his own, but Rigmer scored two quick goals to give themselves hope. This hope was dashed with seven minutes to go, when Daines secured his second of the afternoon from the penalty spot.

The MOM award was given to Josh Kyte, for two goals and two assists.

Ringer 3-3 Eastbourne Rangers

Rangers put in a spirited fightback against a good Ringmer side at The Kings Academy 3G. Rangers were chasing shadows for much of the early exchanges, and went behind after a long range effort eluded Louis Peach. Things got much worse for Rangers and for Peach midway through the first half. Rangers were hit on the break from their own attacking corner, with the Ringmer striker doubling the home side's lead. This wasn’t the worst of the news however, with Peach rolling his ankle in the move, which saw him unable to continue, and this meant Sam Collins took the gloves.

At the break, Rangers rung the changes with four new faces, but soon found themselves three down with the Ringmer skipper firing in from close range. But a change of shape for the red and blacks then saw fortunes changed. A Paul Weatherby inswinging free-kick was flicked on by sub Josh Bryany, with another substitute in the form of James Unwin applying the finishing touch at the back post.

Another ball in from Weatherby then caused more problems for the home side, as they failed to clear a drilled corner. The ball fell into the path of Unwin, who again made no mistake by finishing expertly into the roof of the net with 10 minutes to go,

With renewed belief and the change in shape causing all sorts of problems, it was no surprise that Rangers equalised, but the manner of which it came was quite sublime. Cam Apted latched on to a pass on the right flank. After taking on two defenders, he cut in side and unleashed a venomous, dipping effort into the top corner to complete a superb rangers fightback. Scenes.

The MOM award was awarded to Joe Jones.

This result see Rangers finish second in the mini league, but more importantly improvement and togetherness has been very evident, with only one defeat in the last eight games.

Fletching 0-0 Eastbourne Rangers Res

Rangers Reserves finished off their campaign in a stalemate at Fletching. On a difficult playing surface, which was almost certainly a leveller, Rangers were fortunate to go in at the break all square with stand in keeper Artur Mendes the busier of the two keepers. Kicking down the slope in the second half didn’t quite reap the rewards necessary to claim all three points, so Rangers had to settle for a well-earned point.

The MOM was awarded to Jules Waters. This result will see the lads finish in the top three.
