Bosham made their return to Walton Lane for their first home game since lockdown but found St Francis too strong for them. On a sunny afternoon there was a healthy crowd in attendance.

Rangers were dealt an early blow when top marksman Demas Ramsis was forced off with a hamstring injury, leaving manager Del Tobias to make a change.

Josh Paine and Sam Wright were causing Bosham problems at the back but keeper Harley Redman made a number of good saves to keep it goalless.

The young Bosham side struggled to create meaningful chances in the first half and Rangers keeper Joshua Green had little to do.

Right on half-time, sub Sid O’Neil went close for Rangers with Redman left exposed.

In the second half Bosham made a strong start with Nathaniel Monk testing the keeper and Kai Williams also going close. But on the hour, St Francis edged in front. Jake Lindsey was offered too much time just outside the penalty area and neatly found the bottom corner past the despairing dive of Redman.

Bosham woke up and Williams netted at the back stick with a powerful volley from a free kick from Monk.

The home fansfound their voices as Bosham applied the pressure in search of an equaliser but thoughts of a stirring fightback were quashed in a five-minute spell of brilliance from the visitors.

That saw Lindsey bag his second and Oliver Munt and Sam Wright get on the scoresheet.

Lindsey finished off a swift counter attack; Munt showed great patience and skill to finish, and the scoring was rounded off with a wonderful finish with the outside of his right boot. The result leaves Rangers fifth, Bosham 11th.
