Glasgow Rangers Legends heading to south coast

Ugo Ehiogu is among the ex-Rangers players due to play at Bognor

It will raise funds for the family of Dave Clark, a Brighton-based Rangers fan who died recently in an industrial accident.

His widow and family will be at the match.

Organiser Stuart Thomson is a lifelong Rangers fan now living at West Wittering.

Ex-Rangers players who have confirmed they will play include Andy Goram (ex-Scotland keeper), Ugo Ehiogu, Graham Roberts, David Healey, Derek Ferguson, Alex Rae, Michael Mols, Mark Falco, Terry Hurlock, Marvin Andrews and Mark Walters.

The South Coast Legends team will be bossed by Bognor’s Jack Pearce and he is busy recruiting.

Tickets are selling well, with more than 500 sold so far. Organisers are hoping for a crowd of around 2,000 and many local supporters, including the Gosport Rangers Supporters’ Club, have already snapped up their tickets.

Bookings have been received from fans as far afield as Reading, London, Edinburgh and Belfast.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Rocks on 01243 822325. Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for under-16s. There’s a £2 handling charge per booking (not per ticket) to cover postage and credit-card fees.
