The Ryman Football League Division One South fixture at home to Hythe Town hasn’t yet been called-off, but the rain is now falling heavily on top of all the wet weather we’ve had recently.

United groundsman Simon Rudkins wrote on social network site Twitter at 12:06pm: “Rain heavier last 15 mins some surface water now Forking will continue but decision on @hastingsufc @hythetownfc going ahead with match ref.”

A further tweet at 12:22pm read: “Rain even heavier now not looking good I’m afraid match ref hoping to be here at 1pm.”

Kick-off is scheduled to be at 3pm. Return to this website for further updates.

A number of other New Year’s Day fixtures around the county have succumbed to the latest band of wet weather, including the Skrill South clash between Whitehawk and Eastbourne Borough.
