Rockettes put 10 past Portchester – the match in pictures

The result leaves them second in the table with four wins and a draw from their opening five matches.

Bec Bell-Thorns set up two attacks early on with her runs and crosses from the right. First Kate Delilis diverted a chance over the bar and then a similar move soon after saw Millie Carter shoot high and wide just 3 minutes in. Aimee Hall-Guy did well in the Bognor area following a cross from the right but diverted wide from close range.

Bognor took the lead on 12 minutes when a corner fell to Sophia Poling who nodded it in despite a defender's efforts on the line. The Rockettes extended their lead on 15 minutes as Kate Delillis fired it in off a defender following Lucie Wright's freekick cross. Sophie Humphrey also hit the left post after a short run as Bognor dominated the opening 20 minutes.

Nicole Robinson saved comfortably from Hall-Guy's strike from outside the area. Lily West put a neat through ball to Char Heanen but her powerful strike was pushed over confidently by Robinson on 26 minutes. Lucie Selvester did well to cross the ball into the area to find Sophie Humphrey but after twisting and turning she brought out a good save by Sofie Harris.

Elena Butcher clipped the crossbar with her cross moments later for the visitors. On 33 minutes Poling hit a long range freekick directly high and wide as Bognor maintained their lead. Bognor went three goals up in the 35th minute. The visitors failed to clear their lines from Wright's corner before the ball fell to Humphrey who blasted it high into the roof of the net.

Bognor got their fourth goal on 40 minutes. A fine pass out wide onto the left found Lucie Wright in space and shen ran onto it before firing it over the goalkeeper and into the net. It got better for the hosts as Humphrey netted her second of the afternoon, following up the rebound from a previous strike on 44 minutes. HT 5-0.

After half time Niamh Andersson replaced Bell-Thorns.

Humphrey turned in the area quickly and forced a save over the bar from Harris. Humphrey studded in from close range for Bognor's 6th goal of the afternoon. It was scrappy in defence for the visitors who failed to clear the danger on 48 minutes. On 56 minutes Alice Gue was replaced by Ellie Jefkins.

Bognor made it seven on 58 minutes when Humphrey netted her fourth of the day following a low cross. Delillis set up Freya Boxer but after a nice run she hit the side netting with her strike. Bognor made another change on 62 minutes as Wright came off for Clara Castanheira.

Elena Williams hit a free-kick directly into Robinson's arms in a rare chance for the visitors. Carter's corner kick on the right bounced back out for a goal kick off the frame of goal moments later. Bognor got their 8th in the 66th minute as Humphrey closed down the ball before passing it square to Boxer in the box and she made no mistake, netting it along the deck and in.

Bognor got their ninth on 69 minutes. Andersson placed it nicely beyond defence for Delillis who fired it past the goalkeeper. On 70 minutes Talliah Anderson replaced Sophie Humphrey. Good work from Carter saw her pass back to Castanheira who curled it into the middle where Andersson was waiting but she diverted it wide of goal.

A cross from the left by Castanheira found Boxer in the box and she fired it high and in for Bognor's tenth goal on 76 minutes. A high corner bounced off Elena Williams and into the net for the visitors first goal of the afternoon as a consolation. The visitors also hit the post moments later as the goal perked up the opposition in for the first time in the second half.

Gue came back on for Macie Downs on 86 minutes in a rolling substitution. But despite more chances for Boxer for the Rockettes towards the end it was a comprehensive victory for the Bognor women's side.

They travel to Andover New Street on Sunday, November 15, at 2pm before playing at home on Sunday 22 against AFC Varsity with kick off at 2pm.
