Roll of honour revealed as East Sussex League comes to an end

Wadhurst United have been confirmed as Macron Sports Hub Hastings East Sussex Football League Division 1 runners-up, with the 2025/26 season now at an end.

The Washwell Lane side received a home walkover against seventh-placed St Leonards Social in the final scheduled game of the campaign on Saturday.

That meant ESFL Challenge Cup (Divisions 1/2) winners Wadhurst finished two points behind champions SC Pass+Move and three ahead of third-placed Bexhill AAC.

So a term which saw a number of teams forced to play catch-up with their fixtures towards the end after postponements galore during a very wet winter has finally come to a conclusion.

Highlights included a league and cup double for Westfield II, who won the Premier Division without losing a game and the ESFL Challenge Cup (Premier Division).

Bexhill AAC II celebrated a cup double, lifting the ESFL Challenge Cup (Divisions 3/4) and Hastings & District FA Lower Divisions Cup, as well as coming second in Division 3.

Wadhurst won a cup and finished runners-up in the league, Bexhill AAC reached a pair of cup finals and The JC Tackleway II were runners-up in two competitions.

The league's clubs and players can now enjoy the summer break before reconvening for the start of the 2026/27 programme in the second half of August.
