Former Crawley Town boss and current Leeds United head coach Steve Evans has been named as joint fourth-favourite at 8/1 to be the next manager of Reds.

A return would seem unlikely, especially as Evans already has a job and has already been linked with the club he has supported since he was two, Celtic.

And he looks to have various options on the table, according to the Yorkshire Post.

The larger-than-life personality masterminded two promotions from the Conference to League 1 during five years at Broadfield Stadium.

He eventually left in 2012 to become Rotherham Town boss and also led them to two promotions from League 2 to the Championship.

In October 2015 Evans became head coach of Championship giants Leeds United.

He is enjoying success in 12th place after at one stage being tipped for an early exit, especially after losing 4-0 to Brighton.
