TD Shipley dig deep to maintain perfect record

Top-of-the-table TD Shipley made the short trip o third-placed Southwater and were made to work hard for a 15th win in 15 SCFL Division 2 games on a mild afternoon with the pitch in excellent condition.
The Dragons struck first on 31 minutes. Ollie Barton-Hague whipped in a dangerous cross and Adam Campbell-Stone stooped low to guide a header in off the post.
Just six minutes later, the same combination delivered again. Another pinpoint Barton-Hague delivery found Campbell-Stone, who reacted quickest to turn home his second of the match and give Shipley a commanding lead.
Southwater hit back before the break, with Archie Goddard pulling one back in the 44th minute, setting up a tense second half.

The hosts pushed TD Shipley all the way in what became a scrappy, hard-fought contest, but the league leaders held firm to protect their flawless record.
Next up, the Dragons are away to Rudgwick and Southwater are at home to Worthing Town.
