They’ve been amazing – Boss Cox hails Shoreham as survival battle is boosted
Connor Cox has praised his Shoreham FC players for giving the club new hope of avoiding relegation from the SCFL Premier Division.
The Musselmen have spent much of the season on the bottom but have picked up a couple of wins recently.
The latest, a 1-0 home success over Lancing courtesy of Aiden Eckworth-Jones’ early goal, took them above the Lancers in the bottom two.

Cox, Shoreham’s third boss of 2025-26, told us: “The boys have been amazing the past couple of weeks. The standard at training has been quality and that has moved into a matchday.
“We’ve bought in a few players in recent weeks and they’ve boosted the quality in our side.
“The boys have shown me a few different sides of their game, beating Seaford comfortably and having a lot of possession, but also being able to beat Lancing by being hard to beat and grinding it out.
“We have a big squad now and there’s competition for places in every position. No-one has a guaranteed starting place. The culture’s really changed, we’ve got a good group.”
Shoreham go to Pagham on Saturday.
