Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton admitted things went for the Clarets in their 3-1 Premier League win at Brighton & Hove Albion this evening.

Albion had a couple of penalty appeals waved away, including at 2-0 when Jeff Hendrick pushed the ball away from Glenn Murray with his hand.

Seconds later, Burnley broke down the other end and went 3-0 up when Ashley Barnes scored from the penalty spot after he was fouled by Mathew Ryan.

Heaton made several outstanding saves during the 90 minutes and on the penalty call, he said: "I assume you're talking about and when it hit Jeff's hand. It's come up and it's difficult for the ref.

"It did hit his hand, sometimes they go for you and sometimes they don't but it went for us today.

"It's a massive win. We knew it was going to be tough, they came out the blocks and we handled it well and took the goals well."

Former Premier League referee Peter Walton, in the BT Studio, said on the Brighton penalty incident: "How did they miss it? It's very disappointing when you see a clear handball missed. Unfortunately they got it wrong."
