Hastings United’s trip to Folkestone Invicta in Ryman Football League Division One South has succumbed to a waterlogged pitch following this morning’s rain and has already been rearranged for Tuesday April 15.

It becomes United’s second successive postponement and eighth since mid-December, in addition to an abandonment. United still have 20 matches to play and there are 11 Saturdays remaining until the season concludes on April 26.

Rye United’s visit from Ringmer in Sussex County Football League Division One has also been called-off, along with the six other matches elsewhere in the division tonight.

Rye are facing a similar fixture backlog to Hastings having had 12 of their last 15 encounters postponed. They have 19 league games to go and are still involved in two cup competitions.
