The Pilot Field pitch is playable at the moment and no pitch inspection is scheduled ahead of United’s final Ryman Football League Division One South fixture of 2013, although that could change if there is further significant rainfall.

United groundsman Simon Rudkins wrote on social network site Twitter: “Pilot Field currently playable for @hastingsufc v @BurgessHillFC. Still showers forecast and clouds look heavy at sea.”

Rye United, however, have endured their third postponement in eight days as their Sussex County Football League Division One game at home to Hailsham Town has succumbed to a waterlogged pitch at The Salts.

Little Common’s scheduled visit from Saltdean United in Sussex Division Two is also off, as now is Bexhill United’s match away to Division Two leaders Eastbourne United AFC after The Oval pitch failed a 10am inspection. There is no news yet on Westfield’s trip to Seaford Town in the same division.
