The East Court playing surface failed a 3.30pm inspection and the Ryman Football League Division One South match has been called-off due to a waterlogged pitch.

It’s United’s fourth Tuesday night postponement in the last five weeks, all of them away from home. In fact, the one midweek game they’ve actually played since Christmas was the reverse fixture at home to Grinstead on January 12, which United won 5-2.

United have won five of their last six matches to rise to seventh in the table - two points outside the play-off spots - and they they still have between two and five games in hand on every other club.

Elsewhere tonight, Little Common will travel to Worthing in a Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup quarter-final. Kick-off on Worthing’s artificial 3G pitch is 7.45pm.
