‘Very, very positive’ – Hand delighted as new-look Littlehampton Town hit ground running
Littlehampton Town’s new-look squad have made a flying start to their build-up to the new Isthmian South Central season.
It’s played three, won three so far for Mitch Hand and George Gaskin’s men, who have enjoyed victories at East Preston, Selsey and – on Tuesday night – Arundel.
It ended 5-1 to the Marigolds at Mill Road and that was the first goal they’d conceded in their three outings.
Friendly visits to Newhaven, Lancing and Steyning follow before they start their competitive season with a home FA Cup tie with Eastbourne United.

Hand said: “We’ve had a really positive start to pre-season.
"Some of new lads in forward positions have been linking up nicely together and scoring goals.
"It’s been quite seamless really because a lot of the boys have played together for teams previously.
"It’s been a good start/ We’ve only conceded only goal in three games so far, so we’re happy with that.

"We’ve got Newhaven next Tuesday and Lancing the following Saturday.
"We’re looking forward to the fixtures coming so we can gauge how the first couple of months of the season will look. But we’re also looking forward to home ties in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.
"All in all, it’s a very, very positive pre-season so far and we’re happy.”
As reported, the Golds have added seven new players to the squad – Matt Daniel, Harry Heath, Dion Jarvis, George Taggart, Lateef Oladokun, Scott Faber and Charlie Robinson.
