We always have to be on top of our game - Chris Hughton
The Seagulls are 13th in the Premier League with 25 points from 20 games and head to West Ham tonight after collecting four points from matches with Arsenal and Everton.
Albion are ten points clear of the relegation zone but Hughton says the number one target remains staying in the Premier League, rather than looking to better last season's total of 40 points and the 15th-placed finish.

"That's nothing detrimental, it's just I don't want to think that way. What I want to be doing is putting pressure on the team to make sure we are very conscious of where we are and don't let any complacency set in.
"It would be to nice at some stage to think that way but probably my experiences are just making sure we don't lose our way."
Hughton added Albion have to make sure they are always on the top of their game: "I could sit here and talk as confidently as what I want but this is the Premier League.

"Thankfully we've addressed that one and come through it but this is a league where if you're not on the top of your game, you can lose four, five on the spin.
"My mechanism for making sure we don't go into any complacency is to think more that way - that magic figure of 40 than start thinking about where we can finish in the league."
