Eleven of Saturday's scheduled league and cup matches were postponed following all the rainfall of the preceding week and another was abandoned. One was also called off because of a coronavirus risk.

But 13 games were completed on the final day of October and they produced something of a Halloween treat. A total of 84 goals were scored, including 13 in one particularly entertaining encounter, as the free-scoring forwards had plenty of tricks up their sleeve.

Three of the four planned Premier Division encounters were off and the one which did go ahead resulted in a 1-1 draw between St Leonards Social and Northiam 75.

Musa Camara's goal for Social was matched by Joe Millar for Northiam at a windswept Tilekiln Recreation Ground.

Northiam remain second and are now three points behind leaders Crowhurst with a game in hand, while Social are up a place to third and just two points further back.

Three matches were played in Division One and they were all close affairs.

The goals of Lee Finnigan and David Burch for 10-man Athletico were matched by Adam Robinson and Adam Thomsett for a Battle side which has climbed a place to sixth.

Second-placed The JC Tackleway went level on points with Athletico - and just two goals behind on goal difference - courtesy of a 2-1 win away to Rye Town.

Strikes by Toby Payne and Andrew Bridges gave Tackleway an early-season league double over fifth-placed Rye, whose goal was netted by Sam Henham.
