Worthing FC boss gets squad boost ahead of Barrow after AFC Fylde draw
Adam Hinshelwood was hoping to boost his squad ahead of Worthing FC’s National League encounter with Barrow – and those hopes have been realised.
There has been a lot of movement in the Rebels squad recently with players leaving, and Hinshelwood wanted a boost ahead of two consecutive home games.
On Saturday, Worthing drew 2-2 at AFC Fylde thanks to Razzaq Coleman De-Graft’s 89th minute strike, leaving them 16th in the table with seven points from their first six games.
And when asked if the last minute goal can be a catalyst going forward, Hinshelwood said: “Yes, it has to be. We're doing all we can to bring some players in and to bulk the squad up.

“Obviously, we lost some players recently and it's taking time, but we're hoping by the time Barrow come to our place that we'll have some fresh faces in and just give the squad a bit of a boost, which we think it needs.”
And on Monday the club announced two signings.
Striker Charley Kendall had signed on undisclosed terms from Southend. The 25-year-old enjoyed a positive 18 month spell with the Shrimpers, where the striker contributed heavily in Southend’s FA Trophy success last May.
Hinshelwood said: “Charley is a real threat with his pace in behind and has that all-important National League experience which we want to keep adding to the group.”
And highly-rated forward Jordan Young joined on a permanent deal from Torquay United, subject to FA approval. The versatile attacker recorded 30 goal contributions in 42 appearances in a superb season for the Gulls.
“Jordan is a player I have always admired when coming up against him, so I am delighted to now be working with him,” Hinshelwood said.
Worthing host Barrow this Saturday in a 12.30pm kick off before Hornchurch come to town on Tuesday night.
