YM hammered at league leaders
The recent adverse weather meant YM hadn’t played since January 12, although that was hardly an excuse for a dismal first half that cost the visitors any chance of victory.

YM were without the suspended Elliott Romain, which meant a start up front for youngster Dean Cox, whilst goalkeeper Paul Williams made his debut following the departure of Simon Lockwood.
After their blistering start, Haven looked to keep the ball and YM were allowed back into the fixture, albeit without creating a great deal in front of goal.

“I’m very disappointed, but Peacehaven are a very, very good side and they’re bang in form,” Boss Peter Buckland said. “I was pleased with our response in the second half, but as I’ve said before, what we really need now is two games a week to get us back in the groove. “I said before today that I wanted 15 wins from the final 22 games, which gave us seven games that we could afford not to win. I hadn’t earmarked today as a win, but the next three games against Hailsham, Sidley and Dorking Wanderers, and I’ll put my head on the block now, I’ll be looking for maximum three wins.”
