UNDER-15

Bognor Town 9 Chichester City 2

The deadlock was broken by Jacob Van-Driel attempting a cross which swerved into the top corner. Jack Parkinson made it 2-0.

Chi had some good chances as well but Harley Bain, Ben Hauxwell, Louie Mockford-Allot and Antonio Maple stayed strong.

Next on the scoresheet was Joe Bennett with a well-placed finish into the bottom corner. But Chi responded well and caught Jodey Scott off-guard to make it 3-1.Mockford-Allot volleyed one in from a corner before the the break.

Ollie Hambleton set Bennett up for his second of the match and Parkinson added two more.

Chi battled on and managed to pull another one back. But Hauxwell was next to slot one home from a corner.

Bognor weren’t done there as Will Lintott smashed one in to complete the scoring.

Will Lintott scored a tap in from Jacob van Driel’s cross and Joe Bennett added to Bognor’s tally.

Van Driel got on the scoresheet with a wonder goal into the top cornerbefore Jack Parkinson added to his amazing tally.

Ollie Hambleton teed up Bennett and then Harry Wollers got two in quick concession.

Whyke brought keeper Jodey Scott into action but at the other end, Parkinson got his second and secured the three points for Bognor.

Chichester City Colts 7 Felpham Colts 2

City Colts struck first when Lee Clayton finished well to give Colts the lead midway through the first half. Further goals from Sam Jones and Taylor Parker gave them a 3-0 advantage going into the break.

Chi continued where they left off in the second half, with further strikes from Dominic Hamblin and Toby Watkins before Jack Angell grabbed a quickfire double to give City the points.

In the last ten minutes, Jonny Prior scored two spectacular efforts for Felpham.

MoM was Jack Angell.

Chichester City Colts 4 Selsey 2

City took an early lead with a goal from Harry Angell in the first five minutes, followed ten minutes later by a second from him.

Max Hopp showed fantastic skill in midfield by tackling, taking possession and keeping the Colts on the front foot.

George Purvis hammered in a great goal for the Colts at the start of the second half but Selsey pulled one back.

The under-12s have been focusing on passing and creating space in training – demonstrated to perfection by Louis Godfrey and Theo Perrin.

The duo put Selsey’s defence under pressure resulting in a goal scored by Godfrey and set up by Perrin. A penalty for Selsey took the score to 4-2.

Manager Adam McCulloch strengthened the defence and great goalkeeping from Josh McCulloch and some brave headers from Joshua Jensen kept the score at 4-2.

Avisford Youth 5 Rustington Otters Red 1

Avisford earned their first win of the season with a dominant win over Rustington at Rose Green.

They could have taken the lead inside the opening 30 seconds, Matt Kill beat the Otters offside trap to find himself one on one with the keeper, but his shot was straight at a grateful Rustington No1.

The home side took the lead 17 minutes in. Kill’s shot was charged down, the ball rebounded to Fin Brian whose sublime lob went past the keeper into the top corner.

The game was effectively ended as a contest just before half-time by a devastating Avisford spell of three goals in the space of two minutes.

Damian Wasowski’s pass found Brian, and his ball split the Rustington defence to release Charlie Hunter, who made no mistake with a low shot.

Almost straight away, another Avisford attack resulted in Hunter smashing home from close range. Then Rustington’s high line was exposed again, MoM Hunter the gleeful recipient of Kill’s through ball to seal his first Avisford hat-trick.

Otters, to their credit, came out for the second half with purpose. They pulled a goal back just after the restart, Tom Johnson’s volley from 20 yards flying past the dive of Klaudiusz Piasecki.

Any lingering Avisford nerves were settled when referee Paul Senior pointed to the penalty spot after a Rustington defender handled in the area. Kill stepped up and made no mistake, sending the keeper the wrong way.

The away side kept battling away and thought they had scored late on, but Sammy Copeland cleared off the line to keep the score at 5-1 as Avisford saw the game off comfortably.
