Garrett pots the national under-14's title

LITTLEHAMPTON has a new national champion in 13-year-old Garrett Scammell.

The youngster took the UK under-14s pool title at the finals in Barnsley on Sunday.

Garrett, a pupil of Littlehampton Community School and representing Worthing Boys' Club, started his climb to the top at Worthing in March.

He became Sussex county champion and went to the regional finals for the south of England in Chichester, where he ended the day by taking the title and earning a place in the national finals.
