Golds exit after late spot-kick miss

LITTLEHAMPTON Football Club manager Trevor Waller was frustrated with some refeering decisions after his side went out of the FA Cup at Hellenic League side, Hungerford Town, on Saturday.

Waller, whose side missed an 85th-minute penalty equalising chance, said: "We should have won and I thought we were the better side. It was the best we have played all season.

"I was disappointed with the referee, who let their experienced players get away with a lot. Their number 11 nailed Ryan Hudson in the first few minutes and Ryan will now be out, possibly for six weeks, with damaged knee ligaments. Ryan's our captain and a main player and the tackle their player did was out of order. We had no protection from the referee."
