GOLDS TAME TIGERS TO STAY AHEAD OF PACK

IT'S A STEP nearer to safety. That was the opinion of Littlehampton boss Andy Taylor after his team completed the double over basement side Saltdean at Hill Park on Saturday.

With nearest challengers Southwick below Golds in the table and Sidlesham, above, both collecting single-goal successes, it was imperative that Littlehampton did the business on Saturday and, after a jolt, they finally came through to take the points.

They even had the luxury of a missed penalty, but had to work hard for the points since Saltdean dug in and ground out a first-half lead.
