Ace Luke nets lofty finish


Cornford, of Cooden Beach Golf Club, came tied sixth in The Kerry London Championship on the PGA EuroPro Tour.
He finished the 54-hole event at Burhill Golf Club (New Course) with a five-under-par total of 211, earning £987.50 in prize-money.

Hide AdCornford began with a one-under 71 in which he carded three birdies and two bogeys before carding a second round 70 with three birdies and one bogey.
He started the final round with birdies on the second and third, but bogeys on the seventh and eighth meant he reached the turn in a level par 36.
Cornford began the back nine in blistering fashion with three birdies in four holes before a bogey on the 17th meant he finished alongside Nick McCarthy (Moortown Golf Club), Stephen Grant (The Heritage) and Simon Lilly (Wellingborough Golf Club).
Having finished tied 25th in his only other outing on the tour so far this season at The Matchroom Championship in April, Cornford lies 23rd on the EuroPro Tour order of merit.
