John Luke is the new captain at Littlehampton Golf Club - or is it Jean-Luc?
John learned to play as a junior member of Cuddington GC in Surrey.
His working life was spent flying, first in the Royal Air Force, then as an airline pilot, mainly with British Caledonian and British Airways, where his name led to the nickname “Captain Picard”,after the character who flew the USS Enterprise in Star Trek.
He (John Luke not Jean-Luc Picard) recently shot his age round Worthing’s Upper Course.
