Third Winter League crown for Slinfold golfers
Slinfold’s Senior golfers have won their third successive Surrey and Sussex Winter CLAWS league title
Despite a disappointing home defeat to Wildwood, their first in four years, in the last match of the league series, three away victories, against Cranleigh, Mannings Heath and Wildwood had already ensured league victory for the squad of Don Peacock, Gerry Street, Phil Eggitt, David Trowbridge, Frank Catlow, Dave Heimers, Mike Lowery, Graham Treharne.
Wildwood were determined to avenge their earlier defeat last week, and ran out comfortable winners 3.5-1.5.
