Gymnasts shine at championships
BLOOMING gymnast Jodie Saxby (right) enjoyed a successful all-round day at the Regional Championships.
Competing against a strong level two field of gymnasts from Kent, Surrey and Sussex, the 1066 Sporting Club sponsored talent gained overall silver with a score of 28.650. Her best piece of apparatus was the vault with her score of 8.100 the highest of the day. She was also placed third on bars (6.500) and on beam (7.100).
Accompanying Jodie was level four competitor Harriet Walters (left). A pleasing and sound routine enabled her to scoop third on beam out of 24 competitors and her total of 23.475 was enough to net sixth place overall.
