Haywards Heath Harriers youngsters compete for Sussex
Four U11 athletes from Haywards Heath Harriers competed for Sussex in the South East Regional Sports Hall Fun in Athletics Festival at The Triangle, Burgess Hill on Sunday.
The competition consisted of eight counties from the South East; Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Isle of Wight. Isabelle Doyle, Toby Wiles, Finn Dolan and Ethan Lambert were selected based on their performances in the Sussex Sports Hall League competition and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of competing at a higher level. At the time of going to press, no individual results were known but overall the Sussex Girls finished 6th and the Boys 7th.
In the Clair parkrun, Paul Cousins took a brilliant victory, finishing almost a minute ahead of the field in 18:56. Kim Lo was first female, clocking an impressive PB in 20:43.
