Haywards Heath start season with win over Heathfield
Haywards Heath played their first game of the new season away at Heathfield & Waldron RFC and was looking to record a win to set them on their way on the long road to promotion.
The Club has recently consolidated its senior teams to form a single squad which, while resulting in lower league competition in the short term, offers the opportunity to rebuild based on success and a winning momentum.
Joining forces in this way gives the Club the opportunity to restore pride and enjoyment to senior rugby after a tough couple of years. So it was with real optimism that Heath looked forward to the new season and, targeting a fast bounce back by winning the Sussex Intermediate League in 2014/15, set out to put in a determined performance and record a positive result on the pitch.
