Second-bottom H&B will entertain third-placed Bromley in London Three South East tomorrow (Saturday). Kick-off at William Parker is 2pm.

“For me it’s always about producing a performance,” said H&B head coach Kevin Smith said. “Above all it’s a performance. If you put in a performance you should get the results.”

Although winless since the second weekend of the season, H&B are only two points behind third-bottom Park House.

“If we can get two or three wins together that’s what we need,” continued Smith. “I suppose the time is running out and we’ve got to start doing it soon, but at times we’re playing some very good rugby.

“But if the opposition score a try you can see the confidence slide from us. We press the self-destruct and within a couple of minutes they’ve scored another try. That really does kill us. If we can stop doing that and just get a little bit of confidence...”

H&B are planning to change their lineout thrower and make a change in the centres against a Bromley side which beat them 55-5 in October’s reverse fixture.
