Tries galore by the backs but it was the fowards that defended extremely well and set up this grand victory - eight tries, four conversions and two hat tricks.

Full back Jordan Bell went on a very long run and was tackled just before the try line. Scrum half Alex Harry reacted quickly and winger Lewis Wilson scored the first of his three. Flyhalf Josh Medley converted the first of his four. Horsham played well and Center Ben Murphy could score his first too. Jordan and Josh got a try each, but it was Prop Callum Punter’s try that will be remembered as he bulldozed through all obstacles and laid the ball down beautifully.

How strong a team does Coach Jones et al. have, when star players like Piers Lydon, Tom Hamblet, Shane Crawt, Henry Purser, John Matthews, Craig Dent and Mateus Allen starts on the bench. All the boys have made squad choice very difficult, and players that didn’t start today would easily have been first choice in any other team in the league. All subs came on during second half and Green Army continued their very strong performance.

The forwards were the stars of the day! While the boys were getting fed and Prop Sam Minto as Man of the Match also won the chocolate bar challenge the ambulance came and picked up one of Eastbourne’s wounded soldiers.
