Horsham Ladies Twos travelled to Crystal Palace to face a well-drilled London Wayfarers Firsts, and on a sandy pitch conceded an early goal which saw them always chasing the game against their physical opponents. Horsham scored three goals from short corners - Sophy Jones powering in two strikes, one touched in by Becca McDowell and the other cleanly fired home, while the third saw Fran Crossley force a flick with Natalie Howarth coolly converting the penalty.

Horsham though leaked too many goals to lose 5-3, though Yvonne Grout was Players’ Player with the team voting her for the second time this season for an outstanding game.

This weekend the Twos have a ‘three pointer’ for the taking against bottom of the league Staines Twos, 3pm at home.
