ARUNDEL FC captain Jim Smith's cross, which got caught in the wind, was the decisive moment of Saturday's game.

Sidley's keeper thought the ball was sailing over his crossbar and called "safe" but it suddenly dropped, clipped the bar and fell into the goal to give Mullets a 2-0 lead on 67 minutes.

Matt Huckett had opened the scoring from the penalty spot after he had been brought down in the area on 17 minutes.

There were few other chances until Sidley grabbed a goal back with a header from Rose with 17 minutes left.
