Jimmy snookered on Crucible debut

After a promising start Jimmy Robertson endured a tough baptism to big-time snooker at the Crucible on Wednesday night.

The Bexhill talent won the opening frame of his first round match against Mark Selby in the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship in Sheffield, but lost the subsequent eight to leave him two away from defeat after the first session.

Selby made light work of his opponent the following afternoon and a break of 107 put him one frame away from victory and not long after he completed a 10-1 success to set up a second round meeting with Stephen Hendry.
