KWIK CRICKET CHAMPS

YOUNG cricketers at Harlands Primary School, Haywards Heath, were crowned National Kwik Cricket champions at Headingley this month.

Following their success in the county and regional qualifying rounds of the Kwik Cricket tournament, the Harlands team arrived at the Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground to represent the South-East of England.

The team got off to a great start, beating Scotforth St Pauls School from Lancashire by a huge margin. Wins against Abbey Primary School from Leicestershire and Arch-bishop Primary School from York, saw Harlands win their qualifying group.

The semi-final against Valley Gardens School, from Tyne and Wear was a tense affair.
