The first semi-final saw John Luff (Chi Snooker ‘A’) beat former two-time champion Derrick Longhurst (Squash Club).

The second was a repeat of last year’s final and Keith Robinson (Chi Snooker ‘C’) went out to Andy Stubbs (Hunston Hares).

In the final Stubbs started with scores of 97, 78, 85, 85, and 100. Even a ton from Luff couldn’t get him close to Stubbs, who took the first leg in 20 darts.

The second leg saw Luff getting the big scores including a 140. Luff hit double 16 with the last dart to take the leg.

The last leg was close and soon both players were on a finish. Stubbs nearly bust his score with the first dart, but held his nerve to retain his title.

The ladies’ knockout saw only 11 players take to the oche, again including four former champions.

The first semi-final saw Michelle Skeites (The Station) lose to reigning champion Hayley Gatford (Hunston Hares).

The second saw Mary Todd (BRSA Ravens) lose to her daughter Mary-Jane Todd.

Gatford threw first in the final, but a few bad scores put Todd in the lead. Todd eventually took out the 64, taking the first leg.

Gatford picked up the scoring in the second leg and won it.
