Last gasp penalty cheers Sidley

A LAST minute penalty kept alive Sidley United's aspirations of a top two finish in the Sussex County League.

Visiting Selsey held last year's double winners at bay for most of the match, but the hotly disputed penalty allowed Peter Baker to steal the points.

Selsey could have stolen the lead in the first half when Brad Poole hit his own post and forced brother Danny Poole to make a great save from point blank range.

Sidley are still seven points adrift of second spot with Chichester City United and Ringmer also very much in the running.
