Little Common cricketers in top three

THE cricket team from Little Common County Primary School has come in the top three of a countywide competition.

The Shepherds Close-based school finished third in the Sussex Eight-a-Side Tournament at Horsham Cricket Club on Friday.

Little Common played some excellent cricket throughout the event, losing only to the eventual winners.

The main run-getters were Sussex under-11s ace Callum Guest, Henry Smith and Jack Taylor, while Cameron Smith, James Bailey and Guest produced some excellent tight bowling to go with fantastic wicket-keeping from James Vaughan.

The squad was Henry Smith, James Bailey, James Vaughan, Callum Guest, Ben Profitt, Matthew Edwards, Cameron Smith (captain), Jack Taylor and Charlie Bachellier.
