Horsham were caught lacking in the strength of tackling and weren’t strong enough on the ball.

Two players stood out on the Horsham team, goalkeeper Amanda Billington who was voted player of the game and Yvonne Grout.

Skipper Fran Crossley said: “On the positive side we created over 20 attacks into the circle in just one half - now we just needing to clinically convert those chances.”

Two Horsham players - Becca McDowell and Natalie Howarth were injured early on in the game and weren’t able to continue so the club is hoping they recover for this weekend’s encounter against Southampton away.
