MORBY THE MERRIER

A DOUBLE from Paul Morby confirmed Wick's gradual improvement under Richie Reynolds with an efficient victory at Kiln Brow on Saturday.

That means that Redhill aren't safe from the spectre of relegation and are still within catching distance of Littlehampton.

Morby's second-half brace came from two contrasting sources. He put Wick 2-0 up after 55 minutes, when his 35-yarder took a slight deflection off Dave Schneider and went beyond the Redhill keeper. His second was a penalty seven minutes from time, after he had been fouled when breaking into the box.

The lead had been gifted to Wick after 18 minutes, thanks to some dodgy defending by Redhill. Tony Stephens chased down a long clearance, robbed a defender and crossed. Redhill's centre-back lost the ball under his feet and Dewey nipped in to open the scoring.
