Ultimate Eastbourne Eagles speedway team - who would be in yours?
The process has opened with fans putting forward their “Ultimate Eagles team” – with fans asked to submit their dream seven-man team via social media or the club’s website.

Hide AdEastbourne Speedway was first established more than 90 years ago at what is now Arlington Stadium, on the outskirts of Hailsham.
Since then, some of the sport’s greatest names have ridden for the Eagles.
They include former world champions Ivan Mauger, Nicki Pedersen, Mark Loram and homegrown favourites Gordon Kennett, Martin Dugard and David Norris.

Hide AdIn the 1980s, some outstanding Americans graced Arlington including Kelly Moran and Ron Preston.
The club will tally up all people’s votes cast on the HG Aerospace Eagles’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, plus those submitted on a website form found hereFrom those votes, the top seven Eagles of all time will be revealed.
A final poll will then take place to find the Ultimate Eagle.

Hide AdClub Promoter Trevor Geer said: “I don’t think anyone can predict a winner.
“So many great riders have ridden for Eastbourne and, of course, fans often love the ‘lesser lights’ as much as the big stars. It will be fascinating to see the result.”
Voting in the first round ends on Monday (April 20).
