Mullets get a derby win

ARUNDEL FC won a local derby match for the first time this season on Tuesday night but Wick's first-half display left their manager Andy Gander embarrassed.

Mullets stormed into a 3-0 lead after half an hour but then let Wick back into the game with goals just before and after half-time.

Wick had chances to equalise before Arundel sealed the win from the penalty spot with 10 minutes remaining.

Duncan Barnes gave Mullets the lead on 16 minutes. Wearing new silver boots, and nicknamed Ronaldo before the game by his team-mates, he fired home from close range after Jason Wimbleton's flick from Matt Huckett's corner. It was his first goal for Mullets.

Five minutes later, Dave Walker doubled Arundel's lead and Walker then headed on for Andy Boxall to net on 30 minutes.
