MULLETS RIDE THEIR LUCK

ARUNDEL RODE their luck on Saturday, when they picked up a fortunate three points at The Beacon, despite having been under the cosh for the entire first half.

Mullets' keeper Andy McCarthy came off at the break saying his side should have been about eight goals down and even Arundel manager Mike Rowland agreed: "We haven't been enjoying the rub of the green lately, but I'll settle for that today."

This was Hassocks' fifth game without a goal, and they paid the price for wasteful finishing on 68 minutes. A huge up-and-under was hoisted into the box and Sam Wincell beat Robins' keeper Paul John to the vital touch in the air. Wincell received a whack for his troubles, and both he and John had also collided earlier on both players needing lengthy treatment.
