NEW GOLF ACADEMY AT RUSTINGTON
RUSTINGTON Golf Club has become the latest centre to be opened as a Scott Cranfield Academy, which claims to offer a totally new approach to the training and participation of the sport.
The brainchild behind the Academies, of which there are now nine around the country, is coach and mentor to top European Tour professionals Bradley Dredge and Peter Baker, Scott Cranfield. He also was involved with Per-Ulrich Johansson before the Swede transferred to the American tour.
Cranfield explained the idea: "The traditional way of coaching amateurs, no matter what standard is just not individual enough. There's such a variety of flexibility and fitness between each particular person, that you can't make a general rule for every golfer.
