Ten years ago this weekend Crawley Town drew 1-1 with Darlington in front of a crowd of 2012.

It was an incredible season for Steve Evans' side which resulted in promotion to the Football League and play in the FA Cup fifth round at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

But in this game Crawley were unable to capitalise on AFC Wimbledon's slip up as they were held to a draw by 10-man Darlington.

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson gave the home side the lead before the Reds drew level through Scott Neilson after Richard Brodie's shot was saved by Quakers keeper Sam Russell.

Aaron Brown was sent off before half-time for a professional foul on Brodie but Crawley could not take advantage.

The point meant Crawley were one point behind league leaders AFC Wimbledon but with a game in hand.

The Crawley Town team that day: Kuipers, Hall, Mills, McFadzean, Rents, Neilson, Masterton (Torres 58), Bulman, Howell (Flood 84), McAllister , Brodie (Cook 75).

Subs Not Used: Jordan, Wilson.
