33 great pictures - plus video - from National Spirit Hurdle day at Fontwell Park

Potters Charm won Fontwell Park’s richest race of the year as the track survived all the recent rain for one of its showpiece fixtures to go ahead.

The 1-2 favourite – ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies for the yard run by brother Willy and father Nigel – came home ahead of two past winners of the £80,000 race, Brewin’upastorm and Botox Has, who were priced at 18-1 and 11-1 respectively.

It was one six races on a card that had to have its chases taken out and all races run on the hurdle course – the track having had 295mm of rain in the seven weeks of 2026 so far.
