The event delivered a fantastic atmosphere, with friendly runners, enthusiastic marshals and strong support from local crowds. From new and experienced runners taking part in fun runs and mile races, to tackling 10 mile and 10k races, and the full three-day 26.2 mile marathon challenge, the weekend proved a memorable and rewarding experience for all involved.
Top honours in the Marathon Weekend challenge went to Yolanda King (Hastings AC), overall female winner, and Ben Peters (Lewes AC), overall male winner, following impressive performances across all three days.
Organisers AHS Wellbeing praised the sense of community and achievement across the weekend, and extended thanks to race management company Nice Work, Places Leisure, Mid Sussex District Council, and the Town Councils of East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. Thanks also to event sponsors Blakedown Sport & Play, Haydenswan Eyecare, and Specsavers Burgess Hill for their valued support.
