Bowlers throw open to doors to would-be new members
Gullivers Bowls Club is having an Open Day on Sunday, May 3.
The event will run from 10am to 3pm and everyone is welcome, new bowlers and experienced players alike.
The club was established in Knole Road in 1952 and plays, on average, 100 matches during the summer season.
While they play in the competitive Rother and Mermaid Leagues, there are many friendly, social games which players of all standards can partake in.

Charles Gullivers set the club up in 1952 and Gullivers still uses the club colours of claret and champagne, which were Gullivers’ racing colours for his many horses, as well as being his favourite tipples.
As well as bowling, there will be refreshments at the club on May 3, but not free claret and champagne!
Please go along to try your hand at bowls or chat to the members who will be there.
As well as bowls, Gullivers hosts a local bridge club, Bexhill Bridge Club, and has now started up a Thursday morning backgammon club, so there is plenty of opportunity to use the wonderful facilities at Gullivers for all sorts of hobbies.
Members look forward to seeing you there on the day.
