Festival of Speed: Pictures from a feverish Friday at Goodwood

Another huge crowd flocked to the estate to see some high-octane action on the track and plenty of sideshows and famous names off it.

On the Goodwood House balcony, there was a great reception for John McGuinness, multiple Isle of Man TT winner, but that was just one of scores of attractions as the 2026 festival raced towards its halfway point.

Motorsport greats Damon Hill, Valentino Rossi and Lando Norris were others seen entertaining the crowds and enjoying the event themselves.

You can see Thursday’s gallery here but on this page and those linked – or all on the single page if you’re on the Chi Observer app – you can see Trevor Staff’s photos from Friday. And you can almost feel how hot it’s been just by looking at them.

If you’re at Goodwood over the weekend, enjoy the action and come back here for more galleries as FoS continues.
