HY Runners put in some fantastic efforts last weekend – which looks likely to be the last one featuring organised group racing for some while.

First up on Saturday was Carl Adams, running in the Maverick 22k race held in Dean Woods National Nature Reserve near Canterbury.

Carl, who is used to longer distances, ran well and was seventh over the line in 1.38.39.

On Sunday the 16th Beckley 10k took place.

This popular but challenging run is held along quiet country lanes and is hilly in parts.

First HY Runner over the line was Paul Matthews (MV40) in 42.37, and he was followed by Joe Moore (SM) 44.31, Jake Coleman (SM) 47.05, Alfie Johnson (JM) 50.57, Susan Mould (FV45) 53.22 and Ivy Buckland (SF) 1.05.08.

During this second national lockdown, HY Runners will be keeping busy with virtual challenges, tracking progress online and keeping their fitness up ready to return to racing when it is deemed safe.
