Wednesday's Plumpton tips from MyRacing:

1.00 – Tallow For Coal

1.30 – Natural History

2.00 – Star Academy

2.30 – Orchardstown Cross

3.00 – Pride Of Pemberley

3.30 – High Up In The Air

4.00 – Embole (nap)

1.00: Dual hurdle winner Here Comes Johny moves back up in trip after a 2m defeat in November and is not yet fully exposed but he may find it tough to concede a double penalty to Irish point winner TALLOW FOR COAL, who posted a sound effort when second on his rules debut at Uttoxeter in November and ought to be able to build on that. Very useful Flat-racer Make My Day might also be dangerous, but confidence in him would be higher on less testing ground. [Chris Wilson]

1:30: Loughan has been placed three times over hurdles and ought to play a significant role, while Gericault Roque bumped into a good horse when second in a Newton Abbot bumper in October and is another to consider. However, the most interesting runner is NATURAL HISTORY, who was placed in a heavy-ground Group 3 on his latest Flat start and now switches to hurdling after changing hands for a six-figure sum. 2:00: The heavy defeat at Wetherby yesterday for Mont Segur may well leave the door open for STAR ACADEMY who was not far behind him at Uttoxeter last month. Just The Man was useful on the Flat and wouldn't be out of it if he can bounce back from a poor run at Wetherby last time. [Graeme Rodway]

2:30: Cyclop looked unlucky not to complete a hat-trick last time and commands respect in his current form but this is a drop in grade for ORCHARDSTOWN CROSS, who ran well in a very competitive event at Newbury two weeks ago, and he might be the answer. Last-time-out winner Snuff Box is next on the list. [Chris Wilson]

3:00: Katahdin shaped very much as though his turn is near when going close over 2m4f at Southwell last month and looks interesting over a new trip today but it's hard to be swayed from PRIDE OF PEMBERLEY, who cruised to victory on his recent handicap debut at Fakenham and looks very well treated under a 7lb penalty. Tractor Fred runs this track well and is a more speculative option to consider. [Chris Wilson]

3:30: This should go to recent course winner HIGH UP IN THE AIR, who jumped for fun when bolting up ten days ago and looks well treated under a penalty. Megalodon has the ability to play a part if he can reproduce his best hurdle/jumpers' bumper form over fences, while Hold Me Tight has place claims on his return from a break. [Graeme Rodway]

4:00: The finale can go to EMBOLE (nap), who travelled strongly under a patient ride before finishing second at Fontwell last month. Dan Skelton's 7yo was unable to match the well-backed winner's finishing effort that day but it was his first outing since September 2019, and the form was given a good boost when the winner struck again last week. Lady Chuffnell displayed improvement last time and is feared most, while handicap debutant Istorius is also of interest. [Chris Wilson].
